Ranking is a good indicator for players skill level. It is measured on a relative scale and may not be a 100% accurate tool to measure actual skill level of players.
When you you are the bidder and win a game , you and your team will get the game points added to your current ranking. Losing team members will lose the game points from their rank. Below example should clear confusions, if any.
